Yajna: The Sacred Healing Fire Learn Yajna: The Sacred Healing Fires What is commonly called Havan or Homa is Yajna. Yajna is also spelled Yagya, Yagnya, or other variations. Yajna comes from the most ancient and authoritative Scriptures the Vedas. The Vedas were not written by any one person. Vedas are the divine revelations of the ancient Seers and the complete guidelines for humanity. The Vedas exist as the living manual and instruction guide for all humanity throughout the Earth.
The experience of Yajna Yajna is commonly translated as "sacrifice" but that is not really the true meaning. “To make sacred” is a more accurate translation. If we think of fire and how the blacksmith uses fire to shape and mold and how the alchemist uses fire to purify gold of all impurities, in the same way, Yajna purifies our inner set-up as well as our surrounding environments.
